The former Coronation Street star Irene Sutcliffe played the role of Maggie Clegg from 1968 until 1975 but sadly passed away on May 3rd. Her fellow Coronation Street Star Andrew Hall also passed away at the age of 65. The news of her death comes a week after Andrew Hall passed away at the age of 65.
Irene’s character Maggie in Coronation Street ran the corner shop from 1968 to 1974 and lived with alcoholic husband Less Clegg played by John Sharp. But the couple got divorced in 1969 because of his heavy drinking habit.
